Mr. Rachiim Ausar Sahu--Program Director is articulate, disciplined, creative thinker and educator; skilled in executive management, public speaking and the performance arts; early training in physics and engineering; assistant principal of an urban alternative high school at 20 years old; taught mathematics at Columbia University under Dr. Larry Phillips from 1974-76 at the age of 21 years old; career change to performance artist/choirmaster; has composed over 400 compositions for varying media; Artist in Residence [USA], North Carolina (Warren County 1977-1979), New York State (Kings County 1986-1989); World Tours of Europe and Asia from 1980-present; winner Meet The Composer Award [1990,1992]; world premieres of compositions in Lisbon, Amsterdam, Paris, New York and Washington, DC; former executive director of the Andy Kirk Research Foundation [US based]; currently Visiting Professor of Jazz Performance and Jazz Composition lnstitu de ArIes Contemporaneas, Porto, Portugal.


Mr. William DeWalt--Music Director of R&B Music / Instructor is an accomplished performer/composer and a multi-instrumentalist and has over twenty years’ experience as a teaching artist. He has taught elementary through college age youth at the SCO Family Dynamics Beacon Center after-school program and NYC Housing Authority youth centers.  He is under contract with Unity Preparatory Charter School of Brooklyn to provide music instructions to youth during the schools club hours.  Mr. DeWalt has been with Quest as the Music Director of R&B Music / Instructor since September 2005.


Mr. Irwin Hall--Brass & Woodwind Instructor is a performance artist, composer and music educator. Irwin holds an A.B. from Princeton University in East Asian Studies and a Certificate in Music Performance. Never feeling settled playing just one style, versatility has become a hallmark of Irwin's career. Whether on saxophones, flutes, or clarinets, his repertoire spans a wide range of genres and his solos can be heard in renowned venues across the world.Irwin's musical passions also extend into the classroom. He has taught privately and in classroom settings around the world, including the US, Japan, Switzerland, and China. His experience ranges from private instruction through group classes running clinics on improvisation, music theory, and woodwind performance. His international clinics include appearances at the Waseda University High Society Jazz Orchestra in Tokyo, Japan, a Hong Kong-based big band, and the Scuola di Musica Modema in Lugano, Switzerland.
